Dog Training

The old methods of training dogs by controlling them through domination and punishment produced a common result: a fearful dog with a broken spirit. It is much better to establish yourself as a kind, benevolent leader in your dog's eyes who motivates through positive reward and reinforcement. Then you and your dog can have a relationship based in kindness, respect and compassion.

Most owners want a dog that is well-mannered, housetrained, not destructive, does not jump on guests or pull on his leash, and comes when called. Other owners have dogs who know how to sit and heel on cue and are generally obedient but in certain circumstances will engage in behavior that is undesirable or even dangerous. Obedience training is not the same as problem solving or behavior modification. You must first establish what is the goal you are seeking through dog training. We can help you with this.
